Artist Talk with Shayla Holt

Get to know abstract artist Shayla Holt at this special library event. Shayla's vibrant work is on display in the library's gallery throughout July, and this is your chance to hear directly from her about what drives her creative practice. She'll share insights into her artistic process and the inspiration behind her pieces, then lead everyone to the gallery for a closer look at the work itself. You'll have the opportunity to ask questions and learn more about the details and meanings woven into each piece. Shayla's art draws from her love of music—she describes her layered, dynamic paintings as "portals" that capture the same emotional power you'd find in a powerful song. This is a wonderful event for anyone curious about abstract art or interested in understanding an artist's perspective. Registration is required to attend, and there are 23 spots available.
