Big Band Dances

Step into a summer evening of live music and dancing at this free community series running through mid-August. Each Saturday night kicks off with complimentary dance lessons at 7 PM, followed by live performances from over a dozen local swing and jazz bands starting at 7:30 PM. Whether you're a seasoned dancer or just want to soak in the atmosphere, there's something for everyone—families can enjoy the music together, and food trucks will be on-site for snacks and refreshments. Best of all, admission is completely free. The performances rotate between two scenic spots in the park: the Parthenon Ellipse and the Centennial Art Center, so each week offers a slightly different backdrop for the festivities.
