Big Band Dances

Metro Parks Music presents a summer-long dance series featuring local swing and jazz bands performing live at Centennial Park. Each evening starts with free dance lessons at 7 PM, giving newcomers a chance to learn the basics before the music and dancing begin at 7:30 PM. With over a dozen different Big Bands scheduled throughout the series, there's plenty of variety to explore, from traditional swing groups to Latin-influenced ensembles. Best of all, admission is completely free, making it an affordable way to experience live music and dancing together as a family. This is a wonderful outing for families who enjoy music, want to try something active, or are curious about swing and jazz dancing.
