Celebrate Reading at Nashville Zoo

Bring your young readers to Nashville Zoo for a special two-day celebration of books and animals. Kids will follow a reading passport throughout the park to discover storybooks being read at different stations, paired with animal encounters along the way (weather permitting). The event combines storytelling with hands-on activities designed for children who love reading, making it a fun way to spark a love of books while exploring the Zoo. If you bring new or gently used children's books to donate, your family can earn complimentary attraction tickets (up to four per person). These tickets can be used for rides on the Wild Animal Carousel, the Soaring Eagle Zip Line, or the Adventure 4D Theater experience. All donated books go to Book'em, a local organization that distributes books to children in need throughout middle Tennessee. On Sunday, you'll also have the chance to meet Nashville Titans player Jake Martin at select reading stops throughout the day. General admission or membership covers the event.
