Cheekwood Harvest
Explore pumpkin houses and a scarecrow trail at Cheekwood's harvest celebration.
Cheekwood's fall festival transforms the historic 55-acre gardens into an autumn celebration running for six weeks. Families can explore a stunning new Marigold River featuring thousands of blooms in orange, red, and gold, visit the interactive Pumpkin Village with charming pumpkin houses, and walk the Scarecrow Trail to discover 15 storybook-inspired characters created by local artists. You'll have the chance to select and take home a pumpkin as a harvest keepsake.
Every weekend, live music performances run from noon to 2 p.m., with genres ranging from country and Americana to jazz and blues—perfect for spreading out a blanket and enjoying a picnic surrounded by fall scenery. The gardens also offer ongoing activities for younger visitors, including the TOTS! program with hands-on projects and storytimes, guided house and history tours, and seasonal workshops. Timed-entry tickets are required in advance for all guests, and the site recommends reserving early as parking fills during peak times.
