Craft Continuum

Visit this invitational exhibition where contemporary craft artists respond creatively to historical objects in the Williamson County Archives & Museum's collection. Curated by Sherri Warner Hunter, the show features work across multiple media—clay, fiber, wood, metal, glass, and more—displayed alongside carefully chosen artifacts from the museum. It's a fascinating look at how traditional craft skills and stories continue to shape the work of today's makers in Tennessee. The exhibition runs through mid-November, with free admission and parking. An opening reception happens during Franklin's First Friday in early September, giving you a chance to meet some of the participating artists. The museum is open weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. This is a great outing for families interested in art, history, and seeing how past and present connect through handmade work.
