Craft Continuum

Tennessee Craft brings an engaging exhibition to the Williamson County Archives and Museum that pairs contemporary artwork with historical pieces from the collection. Local and regional craft artists were invited to create new works inspired by objects already held by the museum, showing how traditional techniques and materials continue to influence makers today. The exhibition features pieces in clay, fiber, wood, metal, glass, and beyond—each one telling a story about how craft traditions stay alive and evolve across generations. This is a free event perfect for families interested in art, history, and handmade goods. The exhibition runs through mid-November, giving you plenty of time to visit during regular hours. There's also a special opening reception during Franklin's First Friday event on September 4th, where you can meet some of the artists in person. Parking and admission are both free, making it an accessible outing for the whole family.
