Craft Continuum

This special exhibition at the Williamson County Archives and Museum brings together contemporary craft artists and historical objects in one thoughtful display. Tennessee Craft artists were invited to create new work inspired by items in the museum's collection, showing how traditional techniques and stories continue to shape what makers create today. You'll see pieces in clay, fiber, wood, metal, glass, and beyond—each one representing a conversation between past and present. It's a free experience for the whole family to explore how craft traditions evolve across generations. The exhibition runs through mid-November, with hours Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. There's also a free opening reception on Friday, September 4th during Franklin's First Friday celebration. Parking is complimentary, making it an easy outing to discover some of Tennessee's finest handmade work alongside pieces of local history.
