Creature Connection: Degrees of Pemberton

Your family is invited to meet one of the Discovery Center's animal ambassadors and explore what makes it special through hands-on learning. This session focuses on an owl and its remarkable ability to rotate its head. Kids will dive into a STEAM activity that uses geometry and measurement to discover just how far an owl can turn its neck—a trait that makes these birds such incredible hunters. The program works well for families looking to combine animal encounters with interactive science learning. Each child and chaperone pays $5 to participate. Since registration is required, be sure to sign up ahead of time. Note that program details may change, so it's worth confirming closer to the date if you have any questions.
