Creature Connection: Tortoise Egg Planters

Your family is invited to explore the animal kingdom at this hands-on learning experience! Kids will meet one of the Discovery Center's live animal ambassadors and discover fascinating facts about mammals, amphibians, and reptiles. This session focuses on our leopard tortoise, Panzer, and how its unique characteristics inspire creative thinking. During the activity, children will plant a paper egg and nurture it as it grows into a mystery plant—a fun, nature-inspired craft that brings together science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM). This program works well for kindergarteners and older kids. Registration is required, and the cost is $5 per student and $5 per accompanying adult. Please note that programs may change, so it's worth confirming details before you arrive.
