Deer Run’s Mother-Daughter Getaway Weekend

This September weekend at Deer Run gives moms and daughters a chance to slow down and really connect. Set on 150 acres of beautiful wooded property near Franklin, the retreat is designed so you can focus on each other without the usual distractions of home. Everything from meals to activities is planned ahead, letting you simply enjoy quality time together—whether that means playing, learning, or laughing. The weekend runs Friday evening through Sunday morning and includes a full schedule of bonding moments. Friday kicks off with an outdoor movie night complete with snacks from the Camp Store. Saturday brings a glow-in-the-dark dance party, nighttime wagon rides, stargazing, and a campfire with s'mores. There's also a themed dress-up night (this year: Denim & Diamonds). The retreat works wonderfully for daughters ages 5–14, though girls of all ages are welcome. Grandmothers, aunts, foster moms, and mentors are also invited to attend. Accommodations and meals are included, with various lodging packages available. If cost is a concern, scholarships and discounts may help make attendance possible.
