Dig Our Collecting Piles!

Kids and families can spend an afternoon searching for Silurian fossils at Falls of the Ohio State Park. You'll dig through designated collecting piles using your own tools—bring a trowel, masonry hammer, or anything handy for prying into the ground. The park staff will be on hand to help you figure out what you've uncovered. The activity gathers near the outdoor classroom by the back parking lot, making it easy to find. This hands-on experience costs nothing to participate in, though there is a $2 parking fee when you arrive.
