DinoTrek at Nashville Zoo

DinoTrek brings prehistoric adventure to life at Nashville Zoo with more than 40 life-sized animatronic dinosaurs positioned along a winding path near the Historic Home. Kids will encounter creatures ranging from massive 23-foot brachiosauruses to the iconic T-Rex, many standing over 20 feet tall and weighing thousands of pounds. As you walk through, the dinosaurs come alive with realistic movements, hisses, spits, and roars—creating an immersive experience that transports visitors back to the age of dinosaurs. Access to DinoTrek costs $5 per person (free for children under 2) and requires a separate ticket beyond regular zoo admission. Tickets can be purchased online, at Entry Village, or at the exhibit itself, and each one is valid for one visit anytime during the event's run. For families with sensory sensitivities, the zoo offers designated sensory-friendly hours from 9–10 a.m. on select dates, featuring the dinosaurs without movement or sound effects. A social story is available to help families prepare for the experience.
