DinoTrek at Nashville Zoo

Step back in time at DinoTrek, where nearly 50 life-sized animatronic dinosaurs come to life along a scenic path near the zoo's historic home. Kids will encounter over 20 different dinosaur species, including towering creatures like a 23-foot brachiosaurus and the mighty T-Rex. Many of these giants stand over 20 feet tall and weigh more than 5,000 pounds—an experience that brings prehistoric times into vivid, interactive focus. DinoTrek requires a separate $5 ticket per person (free for children under 2) beyond regular zoo admission. Tickets are valid anytime during the run and can be purchased online or at the zoo. If your family prefers a calmer experience, sensory-friendly sessions run from 9–10 a.m. on select dates with the animatronics' movement and sound turned off. A social story is available online to help prepare younger visitors for the experience.
