DinoTrek at Nashville Zoo

DinoTrek at Nashville Zoo

Dino-themed experience at Nashville Zoo—explore prehistoric wonders.

Step back in time at this special summer attraction featuring nearly 50 life-sized animatronic dinosaurs positioned along a scenic walking path near the zoo's historic home. Kids will encounter over 20 different dinosaur species, including towering creatures like a 23-foot brachiosaurus and the iconic T-Rex. Many of these giants stand over 20 feet tall and weigh thousands of pounds, making this year's DinoTrek the largest version yet. As you walk through, watch the dinosaurs come to life—they hiss, spit, move, and roar, creating an immersive prehistoric adventure. DinoTrek runs through late July and requires a separate $5 ticket per person (children under 2 are free) on top of regular zoo admission. Tickets are good for one visit anytime during the exhibit run and can be purchased online or at the zoo. If your child is sensitive to movement or sound, sensory-friendly sessions run from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. on select dates throughout the season, and the zoo provides a social story to help kids prepare. This is a great option for dinosaur enthusiasts of all ages looking for a hands-on outdoor experience.
