Franklin’s Factory: A Historic Walking Tour

Franklin’s Factory: A Historic Walking Tour

Guided tour of Franklin's historic Factory district—perfect for curious kids & teens.

Curious about Franklin's industrial heritage? Join a guided tour through The Factory's fascinating 96-year story. A staff historian will lead you through the building's halls, sharing how this former stove works and bedding manufacturing plant evolved into the vibrant shopping and dining destination it is today. You'll hear about the people who worked here, the products they made, and explore some of the shops and restaurants now housed inside. The tour lasts just under an hour, with a mix of indoor and outdoor stops, so wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather. Tours run nearly every Wednesday and Friday from April through October. Plan to walk for about 45 minutes total, with brief outdoor segments (covered where possible). Arrive 10 minutes early to meet your guide at The Factory Visitor Center (Suite 11GG), located next to White Alligator and across from Honest Coffee Roasters. Parking is available in the west lot near the water tower or the south lot near the Rusty sculpture. To book your spot or ask about private group tours, contact Carris at 615-791-1777 or ccampbell@holladayproperties.com. Review the cancellation policy before purchasing—refunds vary depending on how far in advance you cancel.
