Franklin’s Factory: A Historic Walking Tour

Franklin’s Factory: A Historic Walking Tour

Historic walking tour of Franklin's Factory district and Liberty Hall.

Curious about Franklin's industrial heritage? Join a guided walking tour through The Factory at Franklin, where you'll explore nearly a century of local history with a staff historian. You'll learn about the building's transformation from a stove works to a bedding plant, meet the workers who shaped its past, and discover the products they made. The tour loops through the building's halls and includes some outdoor stops—all wrapped up in about 45 minutes of easy walking (with breaks between segments). This tour works well for families and history buffs alike. Tours run Wednesday and Friday afternoons from April through October, and the route mixes indoor and outdoor exploration, so dress for the weather and bring comfortable walking shoes. Arrive 10 minutes early to meet your guide at The Factory Visitor Center (Suite 11GG, next to White Alligator). Tours continue rain or shine with covered outdoor sections where possible. To book, select your date online, or contact Carris at 615-791-1777 or ccampbell@holladayproperties.com for questions and private group options.
