Franklin’s Factory: A Historic Walking Tour
Guided historic walking tour of Franklin's Factory district.
Curious about Franklin's industrial roots? Join a guided tour led by The Factory's staff historian as you walk through this remarkable 96-year-old building. You'll learn the fascinating story of how a stove works evolved into a bedding manufacturing plant, and discover the people and products that shaped this iconic Franklin landmark. The tour wraps up in less than an hour, mixing indoor exploration with some outdoor stops (mostly covered), and you'll get an up-close look at shops and restaurants now thriving in the space.
Wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather, since you'll be on your feet for about 45 minutes total. Tours run nearly every Wednesday and Friday from April through October. Meet your guide at The Factory Visitor Center in Suite 11GG—just arrive 10 minutes early for check-in. Parking is available in the west lot near the water tower or the south lot by the large metal factory worker sculpture. To book your spot or arrange a private group tour, contact Carris at 615-791-1777 or ccampbell@holladayproperties.com. The cancellation policy offers full refunds if you cancel more than a week ahead.
