Franklin’s Factory: A Historic Walking Tour
Discover Franklin's industrial heritage on a guided historic walking tour.
Step back into Franklin's industrial heritage with a guided walking tour through The Factory, a beloved local landmark with nearly a century of history. Led by the site's staff historian, you'll explore the building's transformation from a stove works to a bedding manufacturing plant, learning about the people who worked here and the products they created. The tour blends indoor and outdoor exploration, hitting shops and restaurants you can visit today, all wrapped up in about 45 minutes of walking (with breaks between sections).
This tour happens nearly every Wednesday and Friday from April through October, rain or shine. Wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather, since you'll spend some time outside—though covered areas are used when possible. Meet at The Factory Visitor Center (Suite 11GG, next to White Alligator and across from Honest Coffee Roasters) and arrive 10 minutes early to check in. You can book tickets online or call 615-791-791-1777 for private reservations or questions. Standard refund policies apply if you need to cancel or reschedule.
