Franklin’s Factory: Historic Walking Tour
Learn Franklin's Civil War and industrial heritage on a guided walk through The Factory at Franklin.
**Franklin's Factory: Historic Walking Tour**
Step back in time at The Factory with a guided walking tour exploring this beloved Franklin landmark's 95-year history. Led by a staff historian, you'll journey through the indoor and outdoor spaces of this former industrial hub while learning about the people, products, and pivotal moments that transformed it into today's vibrant destination. Along the way, you'll discover the shops, restaurants, and unique experiences now housed within its halls.
The tour lasts about an hour and runs nearly every Wednesday and Friday at 11 AM from April through October, operating rain or shine. Plan to arrive 10 minutes early at The Factory x Franklin Visitor Center (located next to The White Alligator) to check in. Wear comfortable walking shoes and dress for the weather. If you'd prefer a more social outing, consider the "Sips & Stories" happy hour tour offered Tuesday evenings at 5:30 PM, which includes a beverage from The Skylight to enjoy as you walk. Private group tours for six to 25 people are also available for a customized experience.
