Franklin’s Factory: Historic Walking Tour
Guided walk through Franklin's historic factory district with stories and architecture.
Explore the fascinating history of The Factory during a guided walking tour led by the site's staff historian. You'll stroll through both indoor and outdoor spaces, learning about the building's transformation from a working industrial facility into the vibrant community hub it is today. The hour-long tour covers the people, products, and key moments from the location's 95-year story while passing by today's shops, restaurants, and attractions.
Tours run almost every Wednesday and Friday at 11 AM from April through October and operate rain or shine. Plan to arrive 10 minutes early at The Factory x Franklin Visitor Center (near The White Alligator) to check in. Wear comfortable walking shoes and dress for the weather. If you'd prefer a more casual experience, the site also offers "Sips & Stories" evening tours on Tuesday evenings that include a beverage, or you can arrange a private group tour customized to your interests (groups of 6–25 people).
