Frist Arts Fest
Family-friendly arts festival with interactive activities at Frist Art Museum.
The Frist Art Museum is throwing an all-afternoon celebration of art, creativity, and live entertainment. From 1 to 5 p.m., your family can hop between studios to make monster puppets, design personalized prints, or craft decorative lanterns. There's also a scavenger hunt through the galleries, interactive touch carts, and a drop-in drawing station for kids who want to sketch inspired by what they see. Throughout the day, you'll catch live music performances from a local Indigenous flute musician and a song and dance performance that even lets audience members participate. Adults can explore a curated Indigenous artisan market and connect with community organizations around Nashville.
Admission is free for museum members and kids 18 and under; adults pay $20 (note that typical military, senior, and student discounts don't apply this day). The museum has plenty to keep different ages engaged—younger children will love the hands-on art activities and performances, while older kids might enjoy the scavenger hunt and gallery games like Telestrations. Whether your family is into making art, watching live performances, or learning more about the current exhibitions on display, there's something happening throughout the afternoon.
