Ghost Tours at The Hermitage
Ghost stories and lantern-lit walks through Andrew Jackson's historic plantation for Halloween fun.
Step into Andrew Jackson's Hermitage after dark for a lantern-lit walking tour exploring the mansion, grounds, cemetery, and grounds through the lens of ghost stories and unexplained happenings tied to the site's two-century history. Your evening begins at Andrew & Rachel's Café, where you can enjoy seasonal food and specialty drinks before setting out on the approximately 90-minute tour. As you walk the candlelit grounds, you'll hear folklore and historical accounts while learning about death customs, mourning practices, and superstitions from the late-Regency and early-Victorian periods.
These tours run Thursday through Sunday evenings from September through early November, with departures at 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Tickets are $55 for members and $60 for non-members; each person needs their own ticket, and tours cap at 42 guests per time slot. Tours operate rain or shine with no weather-related refunds. Because these ghost tours sell out quickly, it's best to purchase tickets in advance. A portion of proceeds supports the Andrew Jackson Foundation's preservation and education efforts.
