Ghost Tours at The Hermitage

Step into the spooky side of Andrew Jackson's Hermitage for an after-dark adventure perfect for families who enjoy history with a little mystery mixed in. You'll start your evening at Andrew & Rachel's Café, where you can grab seasonal treats and specialty drinks before heading out on a lantern-lit walking tour that lasts about an hour and a half. The tour explores ghost stories, folklore, and unexplained happenings connected to the mansion, grounds, cemetery, and Jackson himself while touching on the death customs and superstitions of the late-Regency and early-Victorian periods. Tours run select evenings from September through early November, with two time slots each night (6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.). Tickets are $55 for members and $60 for non-members, and they sell out quickly—purchasing ahead is strongly recommended. Keep in mind that tours operate rain or shine with no refunds for weather, and each person needs their own ticket. With a maximum of 42 tickets per tour, spots fill up fast, so plan accordingly if you're interested in attending.
