Homeschool Learning Pods: Anatomy Dissection Labs – Cow Eye
Homeschool hands-on anatomy lab exploring real specimens at Discovery Center.
Homeschool Learning Pods offer hands-on science experiences for older elementary and middle school students at the Discovery Center. During this session, third graders and up will conduct their own cow eye dissection to explore how vision actually works. Students get to use real scientific tools and examine the anatomy of an organism up close, making biology feel tangible and exciting rather than abstract.
The program runs for one hour on a Thursday afternoon and costs $15 per student, with chaperones welcome for $10 each. Your registration fee also includes access to explore the rest of the museum until closing time, so you can extend the learning experience. Space is limited, so be sure to register in advance through the Discovery Center's website.
