Lane Motor Museum Vault Tours
Guided vault tours of hundreds of rare cars at Lane Motor Museum in Nashville.
The Lane Motor Museum houses an impressive collection of over 550 cars and motorcycles, but only about 150 are on display at any given time. Their Vault Tours give families a chance to explore the climate-controlled storage area and see many more vehicles from the collection. These guided tours last roughly 45 minutes and are led by museum staff. You'll start gathering in the main exhibit area near the brochure display, and tours typically fill up quickly on a first-come, first-served basis with a maximum of 30 people per group.
The vault can be accessed via a steep staircase from the main floor. If stairs aren't an option for your family, staff can arrange an alternate entrance through the back of the building (though you'll need to walk or drive around to reach it). Photography is welcome during the tour. A few things to know: you'll need to stay within designated yellow lines since the vault floor can be slippery in spots, and the $10 per-person fee is added to your regular museum admission. Tours are typically offered on weekend mornings and afternoons; check ahead to confirm availability for your visit.
