Lane Motor Museum Vault Tours

The Lane Motor Museum houses over 550 vehicles, but only about 150 are on display at any time. Their Vault Tours offer a behind-the-scenes look at the rest of the collection stored below the main exhibit level. These guided tours last approximately 45 minutes and run on most weekends at two time slots. You'll explore vehicles that rarely see the light of day, with a museum guide leading the way through the climate-controlled storage area. The museum asks that guests stay within marked boundaries for safety reasons, as the floor can be slippery from oil and grease. Feel free to bring a camera—photography is welcome. Vault Tours cost $10 per person on top of regular museum admission and can be purchased at the admissions counter on a first-come, first-served basis, with a maximum of 30 people per tour. Each tour begins promptly at its scheduled time, so arriving about five minutes early helps ensure your spot. If stairs are a concern, the museum staff can arrange an alternative entrance at the back of the building. Just let them know when you arrive, and they'll help you access the vault without navigating the steep staircase.
