Lane Motor Museum Vault Tours

Get a behind-the-scenes look at one of Nashville's most impressive car collections. The Lane Motor Museum houses over 550 vehicles, but only about 150 fit in the main exhibit space. These guided vault tours take you downstairs to explore many of the other cars stored in the collection—a 45-minute experience that car-loving families won't want to miss. Tours run most weekends with departures at 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., though schedules vary week to week, so check ahead before you visit. The vault tour costs an extra $10 per person on top of regular museum admission and can be booked at the admissions counter on a first-come, first-served basis (groups capped at 30 people). A few things to know: you'll descend a steep staircase to reach the vault area, though staff can arrange alternative entry through the back if needed. Once downstairs, stay within the marked yellow lines since the floor can be slippery from oil. Photography is welcome, and you're encouraged to arrive about 5 minutes early so your group starts promptly.
