Lane Motor Museum Vault Tours

Ever wondered what's hiding behind the scenes at the museum? Lane Motor Museum holds over 550 vehicles in its collection, but only about 150 are on display at any time. The Vault Tour gives families a chance to explore the storage areas downstairs and discover many of the other cars and motorcycles that aren't typically visible. These guided tours last roughly 45 minutes and happen on most weekend days. Just remember to stay within the marked yellow lines—the vault floor can be slippery from oil and grease—and arrive about five minutes early since tours start right on schedule. Photography is welcome, so you can capture your favorite finds. Adding a Vault Tour to your regular museum admission costs an extra $10 per person, and each tour accommodates up to 30 guests on a first-come, first-served basis. You can purchase tour tickets at the admissions counter when you arrive. If climbing stairs is difficult, let the museum staff know and they can arrange for you to meet the group at the vault's back entrance, though you'll need to walk or drive around to reach that door.
