Lane Motor Museum Vault Tours

Lane Motor Museum offers guided tours of its vault area on most weekends, giving families a behind-the-scenes look at the extensive vehicle collection. While the main exhibit displays about 150 cars and motorcycles, the museum actually houses over 550 vehicles in total. These tours let you explore the storage areas downstairs to see additional cars that rotate in and out of the main galleries. Each tour lasts roughly 45 minutes and departs at set times—just plan to arrive a few minutes early so your group can start promptly. To join a vault tour, simply add it to your regular museum admission for an extra $10 per person when you purchase tickets at the admissions counter. Tours accommodate up to 30 guests and are available on a first-come, first-served basis with no advance reservations. Keep in mind that accessing the vault involves descending a long, steep staircase, though museum staff can arrange alternative entry through the back door if needed. Photography is welcome throughout the tour, and you'll be asked to stay within marked boundaries for safety reasons since the storage area has slippery spots from vehicle maintenance.
