Lane Motor Museum Vault Tours

The Lane Motor Museum houses an impressive collection of over 550 cars and motorcycles, but only about 150 are on display at any given time. The Vault Tour gives families a chance to explore many of the other vehicles stored below the main exhibit area. These guided 45-minute tours happen on most weekends, with two time slots available each day. You'll gather with your group near the brochure display inside the museum, and tours begin promptly at their scheduled time—arriving about 5 minutes early is recommended. Groups are limited to 30 people per tour, and photography is welcome. The tour costs an additional $10 per person on top of regular museum admission, and tickets are available at the admissions counter on a first-come, first-served basis with no advance reservations. One thing to know: reaching the vault requires going down a long, steep staircase from the main floor. If stairs are difficult for your family, let museum staff know and they can arrange alternative access through the building's back entrance. Guests must stay within marked yellow lines throughout the tour, as the storage area has oil and grease spills that make it slippery and unsafe between the vehicles.
