Lane Motor Museum Vault Tours in Nashville
The Lane Motor Museum houses an impressive collection of over 550 cars and motorcycles, but only about 150 fit in the main display area at any time. The Vault Tour lets families explore many of the other vehicles stored below in the museum's vault. These guided 45-minute tours run on weekends at two different times, giving you flexibility in planning your visit. You'll gather with your group near the brochure display inside the main exhibit area, and tours start right on schedule—arrive about five minutes early. Photography is welcome, so bring your camera to capture the hidden gems in the collection.
The tour costs an additional $10 per person on top of regular museum admission, with a limit of 30 people per tour. Tickets are available at the admissions counter on a first-come, first-served basis with no advance reservations. One important note for families with young children or anyone with mobility concerns: accessing the vault involves a long, steep flight of stairs from the main exhibit level. If stairs aren't feasible, let museum staff know when you arrive—they can arrange alternative access through a back entrance, though you'll need to walk or drive to the building's rear.
