Lane Motor Museum Vault Tours

The Lane Motor Museum holds guided tours of its vault space most weekends, giving families a behind-the-scenes look at vehicles beyond what's on display in the main galleries. With over 550 cars and motorcycles in the collection, only about 150 fit in the exhibition area at any time—this tour lets you explore many of the others stored downstairs. Each tour lasts roughly 45 minutes and accommodates up to 30 people per group. Tours run at 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. on most Saturdays and Sundays (schedules vary weekly, so check ahead). You'll pay an additional $10 per person on top of regular museum admission, and tickets are available at the admissions desk on a first-come, first-served basis with no advance reservations. The vault is reached by a steep staircase from the main level; if stairs aren't an option, staff can arrange alternative access via the back entrance. Arrive about five minutes early, stay within marked boundaries for safety, and feel free to bring a camera to capture the experience.
