Lane Motor Museum Vault Tours

Lane Motor Museum holds special guided tours of its vault storage area most Saturdays and Sundays, with departures at 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Since the museum houses over 550 vehicles but can only display about 150 at a time, these 45-minute tours let visitors explore many cars and motorcycles kept in the climate-controlled downstairs vault. It's a chance to see beyond what's on the main exhibit floor and discover hidden gems from the museum's impressive European automobile collection. The vault tour costs $10 per person on top of regular museum admission and is available on a first-come, first-served basis (limit 30 people per tour—no advance reservations). Plan to arrive about five minutes early, as tours start promptly. Note that accessing the vault involves descending a long, steep staircase; families unable to use the stairs can arrange alternative entry through the back door by alerting museum staff.
