Lotz House Ghost Tours

Guided ghost tour at historic Lotz House in Franklin—spooky stories and local history.

The Lotz House is a beautifully preserved Civil War-era home built in 1858 that sits at the heart of Franklin's battlefield history. During a guided tour, your family will walk through rooms filled with thousands of artifacts and period furnishings while learning the remarkable story of the house and the pivotal Battle of Franklin. You'll see firsthand the battle's impact—including damage from cannonball fire—and discover how the home later served as a hospital for soldiers from both sides of the war. Tours last around 45 minutes and are led by knowledgeable guides who bring the history to life with engaging storytelling. Unlike many historic house tours, visitors can freely enter and browse every room rather than viewing from behind ropes. Advance reservations are required; call (615) 790-7190 or email info@lotzhouse.com to book. The site also offers specialty tours with different focuses, so there's an option for various interests and age groups. This is a wonderful experience for families who enjoy history and want to explore a significant piece of American Civil War heritage.
