Mahjong Guided Play at Black Dog Pub

If you've recently picked up the basics of mahjong and want to keep playing, this guided play session is your next step. Join Charleston Social for a casual afternoon at Black Dog Pub where beginners can enjoy games in a supportive atmosphere. You'll play at tables of four, and coaches will be available to answer questions and help you along the way. All tiles and table setups are provided—just bring yourself and your willingness to play. To participate, you'll need an official 2026 NMJL card, which you can purchase onsite for $15 (cash or Venmo). The pub offers food and drink for purchase, including 2-for-1 drink specials. This event is for ages 16 and up, runs for 2 hours, and takes place in a venue with free parking. Whether you come alone or with friends, the organizers will help form balanced tables so everyone can play together.
