Military Appreciation Day at Nashville Zoo

The Nashville Zoo is hosting a special day to honor military service members and their families. Active duty personnel, veterans, and their immediate family members receive free admission—just bring a military ID, veteran organization ID, discharge papers, or other official military documentation. Dependents without an accompanying service member will need to show official dependent ID cards. No advance reservations are required, though standard parking fees still apply. Throughout the day, the zoo will feature keeper talks on animals including poison dart frogs, rhinoceros iguanas, snowy owls, meerkats, giraffes, cougars, and more, with presentations running from mid-morning through early afternoon. Military-oriented vendor booths will be set up near the zoo's amphitheater. This is a wonderful opportunity for military families to enjoy the zoo together while celebrating their service.
