MKE Books & Beers brings two free book fairs to The Deer Garden this summer, giving families chances to discover new reads and support local causes. The first event on June 30 runs from 4:30 to 9 p.m. and features adult authors and vendors alongside activities for children. A book drive benefiting Bernie's Book Bank's grand opening will be collecting donations during this event. The second fair takes place later in the summer and focuses on adult readers with local vendors. Both events welcome the community at no cost to attend. While browsing books at either fair, you can grab food and beverages from The Deer Garden or nearby Deer District establishments. The second event also includes a community book drive where donated books—adult and children's titles—will be turned into holiday gifts for local shelters. These events offer a relaxed way to support reading in Milwaukee while enjoying an outdoor community gathering with something for readers of all ages.
