Musical Instrument Petting Zoo

Touch and explore real instruments at the Country Music Hall of Fame—free!

Your kids can try their hand at real musical instruments during this hands-on activity at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. With guidance from instructors on site, children of any age get to experiment with fiddles, banjos, ukuleles, and other instruments in the collection. It's a great way for budding musicians to explore sounds and discover which instruments spark their interest. This program is included with your museum admission, and it's completely free for museum members. The activity takes place in the Taylor Swift Education Center. If you're a Tennessee resident from the local area (Cheatham, Davidson, Robertson, Rutherford, Sumner, Williamson, or Wilson counties), your children under 18 get free admission to the museum, and up to two adults receive 25 percent off—just bring proof of residency. No registration required; it's a drop-in experience, so arrive whenever works for your family.
