Nashville Shakespeare Festival: “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”

The Nashville Shakespeare Festival brings one of the Bard's most enchanting comedies to life outdoors this summer and fall. *A Midsummer Night's Dream* tells the delightfully chaotic story of lovers and magical fairies in an Athenian forest, where mischief, mistaken identities, and wonder create theatrical mayhem and lots of laughs. The production, directed by Jason Spelbring, is designed for audiences of all ages and captures Shakespeare's most playful side—full of humor, magic, and whimsy that families can enjoy together. Shows take place at Centennial Park's historic bandshell on the 25th Avenue side, with performances beginning at 7:00 p.m. The evening starts earlier with food vendors (5:15 p.m.), followed by a lecture series and a pre-show concert. Admission is pay-what-you-will, with a $20 suggested donation per person. Reserved seating options are available for purchase if you prefer guaranteed seats.
