Open Mic Performer Sign-Ups

Is your child a budding songwriter or musician? The Bluebird Cafe hosts Monday Open Mic nights where performers can share their original music with an audience. Sign-ups happen online and fill quickly—18 performance slots become available at 11 AM on the day of the event. Performers play one to two original songs, either solo or with up to two accompanying musicians. The venue provides a Taylor Grand Pacific guitar and Kawai digital piano for performers to use, though drums and backing tracks aren't permitted. Each performer may bring one guest to watch. If your child gets a spot, they'll need to arrive early and check in with the host by 5:15 PM to confirm they're performing. Guests can attend on a first-come, first-served seating basis when doors open at 5:30 PM—tickets for guests aren't reserved in advance. To keep things fair and inclusive, songwriters are asked not to sign up for back-to-back weeks. This is a family-friendly, all-ages event that provides a real performance opportunity for young musicians developing their craft.
