Open Mic Performer Sign-Ups

Is your child an aspiring songwriter? The Bluebird Cafe hosts Monday Open Mic nights where new and developing musicians can perform their original work. This event is designed for performers only—if your teen or young adult is interested in taking the stage, they'll need to sign up online when slots become available. There are 18 performance spots offered, and the venue asks that songwriters participate no more than once per month to give everyone a fair chance. Performers will each play one or two original songs, either solo or with up to two accompanying musicians. The cafe provides a guitar and digital piano, though drums and backing tracks aren't permitted. Anyone who performs can bring one guest to watch them play. Performers must arrive and check in with the host by 5:15 PM to be ready for the show. Guest tickets aren't reserved ahead of time—they're available first-come, first-served when doors open, and seating may be mixed with other patrons.
