**Open Mic Performer Sign-Ups** The Bluebird Cafe hosts a Monday night open mic event where aspiring and established songwriters can perform their original work. If you're interested in performing, you'll need to reserve one of the 18 available slots through online sign-ups, which open at 11 AM. To keep the opportunity available to as many musicians as possible, performers are asked not to sign up for two consecutive weeks. Anyone selected to perform must arrive early and check in with the host by 5:15 PM that evening. During the show, each performer gets to play one or two original songs, either solo or with up to two accompanying musicians. The cafe provides both a Taylor Grand Pacific guitar and a Kawai digital piano for use, though drums and backing tracks aren't permitted. Performers are welcome to bring one guest to watch them play. If you're bringing a family member or friend to support you, keep in mind that guest seating is first-come, first-served when doors open, and you may be seated near other audience members.
