Polaris

Bundle up in cozy pajamas and head to the Sudekum Planetarium for this special holiday event. Families will enjoy a 29-minute award-winning film about a curious polar bear and penguin who embark on a cosmic adventure, traveling from their homemade observatory to explore Mars, Saturn, and Earth while uncovering the mystery of polar winters. The film is designed for children ages 4 and up, with captions available upon request. After the show, the fun continues with interactive winter-themed science activities and treats like hot cocoa with liquid nitrogen marshmallows. Kids can snap a festive photo with James the penguin and Vladimir the polar bear characters, and every family leaves with both printed and digital copies of their keepsake photo. Tickets are $13 for members and $15 for non-members (plus general admission), with free admission for Explorers Society members who receive a bonus gift. Two showtimes are available on December 27, so you can pick the one that works best for your family.
