Polaris

Bundle up in cozy pajamas for this special December planetarium experience at the Sudekum Planetarium. Your family will watch an award-winning film following a curious polar bear and penguin as they explore the stars and uncover the mystery of polar winter nights. The 29-minute adventure takes these characters on a journey around Earth, Mars, and Saturn, making it perfect for kids ages 4 and up. After the show, step into a winter wonderland filled with hands-on snowy science activities designed to extend the fun. Enjoy hot cocoa topped with liquid nitrogen marshmallows, snap a joyful photo with James the penguin and Vladimir the polar bear, and take home both a printed and digital keepsake photo. Tickets are $13 for members and $15 for non-members (plus general admission), while Explorers Society members get in free with a bonus gift. Captions are available, and the staff can explain other accessibility options when you arrive.
