Remembered Story Trail Through the Wetlands

Story-themed nature trail walk through wetlands at Nixon Park.

Families can explore a self-guided story adventure that winds through Nixon Park's natural landscape. Starting from the parking area, you'll cross over a wetland bridge and venture into the forest, following story pages placed along the trail. It's a wonderful way to combine outdoor exploration with a narrative experience that keeps kids engaged as you walk. This activity is completely free and available throughout the day during regular park hours, making it easy to fit into your family's schedule. Groups of 10 or more do need to register ahead of time by calling (717) 428-1961 x1 or emailing NixonCountyPark@YorkCountyPA.gov—just have your group size, children's ages, and contact information ready when you reach out. It's suitable for families with children of various ages and offers a nice balance of physical activity and storytelling.
