STARS: The Powerhouses of the Universe
Planetarium show about the power and wonder of stars.
Journey through the cosmos in this immersive planetarium experience exploring the life cycles of stars. From their birth in clouds of gas and dust to their brilliant (and sometimes explosive) endings, you'll discover how stars power the entire universe. This 30-minute show features narration by Mark Hamill and stunning visuals created by the National Space Centre in Leicester, along with an original score performed by the Nashville Symphony Orchestra. It's a dramatic, visually captivating introduction to astronomy that works especially well for elementary-age children and up.
The program is presented at the Sudekum Planetarium, part of the Adventure Science Center. Captions are available upon request—just ask a staff member when you arrive. Tickets can be purchased online, and the museum is open Monday and Thursday from 9am to 3pm, plus Friday through Sunday from 9am to 5pm (with extended summer hours on Fridays). Check the venue's accessibility information before your visit to plan accordingly.
