STARS: The Powerhouses of the Universe

This planetarium show takes families on a cosmic journey exploring how stars are born, live, and eventually end their lives—sometimes in spectacular explosions. The 30-minute program dives into the incredible energy that stars release throughout their existence and how that power shapes our universe. Kids will experience both the beauty and raw force of these celestial objects through stunning animation and narration by Mark Hamill, with music performed by the Nashville Symphony Orchestra. The show works well for elementary-age children and up. Closed captions are available upon request—just let a staff member know when you arrive at the planetarium. Tickets can be purchased through the Adventure Science Center's website. The planetarium operates Monday and Thursday from 9am to 3pm, and Friday through Sunday from 9am to 5pm (with extended summer hours on Fridays).
