STARS: The Powerhouses of the Universe

STARS: The Powerhouses of the Universe

Immersive planetarium show about stars and cosmic power at Adventure Science Center.

This planetarium show takes viewers on a cosmic journey through the life cycles of stars—from their quiet beginnings in vast clouds of gas and dust to their brilliant, sometimes explosive endings. The 30-minute program explores how stars release the energy that powers everything in our universe. It features narration by Mark Hamill, stunning animations created by the National Space Centre in Leicester, and an original score performed by the Nashville Symphony Orchestra. STARS works well for elementary-age kids and older who are curious about space and astronomy. The show is presented at the Sudekum Planetarium, part of Adventure Science Center in Nashville. Closed captions are available—just ask a team member when you arrive. You can purchase tickets online, and note that the museum is transitioning to day-pass ticketing in July. The center is open Monday and Thursday from 9am to 3pm, and Friday through Sunday from 9am to 5pm, with extended summer hours on Fridays.
