STARS: The Powerhouses of the Universe
Planetarium show exploring stars and their cosmic power at Adventure Science Center.
This planetarium show takes families on an immersive journey through space to explore the life cycles of stars—from their birth in clouds of gas and dust to their brilliant, explosive endings. The 30-minute program features impressive animation created by the National Space Centre in Leicester, with narration by Mark Hamill. The Nashville Symphony Orchestra performs part of the original score, adding to the dramatic experience. It's a visually stunning way to learn how stars power the entire universe.
This show works well for elementary-aged children and up. The Adventure Science Center offers captions upon request, so families can let a staff member know if they'd like this accommodation. You'll find the planetarium as part of the larger science center, which is open Monday and Thursday from 9am to 3pm, and Friday through Sunday from 9am to 5pm (with extended summer hours on Fridays). Tickets are available for purchase online, and the museum has made some updates to its ticketing system for July visits, so check ahead when planning your trip.
